The marathon distance of 42.195 kilometers leads the athletes from the Tiebelstadt via the Feldkirchen hinterland to the Kurpark in Bodensdorf and then through the Natura 2000 area of European importance “Bleistätter Moor” and back to Feldkirchen. A very special nature experience awaits you in the “Bleistätter Moor”, which attracts many tourists from all over the world every year due to its unique bird population. By the way: The International Carinthia Marathon is the only (!) running event in the whole of Carinthia that offers a marathon over the full distance of 42.195 kilometers.
